Child Abuse Awareness Month- Change for Kids

The "Change for Children" campaign began in 2014 based on the generous heart of a 9 year-old child. We provided a Forensic Interview for her because she was sexually abused by a family member. We also provided therapy to help her cope and heal from the tragedy she suffered.

One day, she presented a water bottle to her therapist. "I have been saving and collecting change!", she exclaimed. "I want to make a donation to the CAC so you can help other boys and girls like you have helped me!" The amount of change in that water bottle was $23.88.

During the month of April, which is Child Abuse Awareness Month, we ask you to continue the inspiring challenge to 'help other boys and girls.

Come by the CAC office, 104 Alabama Avenue NW, Fort Payne, to get your water bottle. The campaign runs April 1st through April 30th, 2015.

We are happy to report that this little girl graduated from therapy and is doing well!
